Description

Abstract

This essay explores the personal struggles the author faces with regards to his career and educational choices. The author grew up in a predominately blue-collar Irish-American community. The community’s opinions on work and career differ tremendously from those of the author. However, the community has also shown constant love and support towards the author; which creates conflict. This essay explains the author’s reasoning with relation to key social theories and theorists.
