L. Bush, and co-edited by Rose M. Brewer, Daniel Douglas, Loretta Chin, and Robert Newby (2019). Rod Bush, a former Professor of Sociology at St. John’s University, Queens Campus, spent his life in the revolutionary struggle in the hope to create an egalitarian world. Vincent and Bush connected on this journey where Bush became Vincent’s mentor. In this chapter Godfrey Vincent reflects on Rod Bush as the quintessential professor, revolutionary, and mentor.
